Ep. 27 | Intro to Ephesians: The Manual to Christian Living

Cherie & Tami Season 2 Episode 27

ABOUT THE EPISODE

Who wrote Ephesians? Paul, an apostle called by God. There is no heart too hard for God to soften and use for His glory.
When was it written? AD 60-62. Around 30 years after the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. As persecution was intense, this book is a testament that God brings beauty from ashes.
Who was it written to? To the faithful saints in Ephesus! The church in Ephesus included Gentiles and Jews who had converted to Christianity. Don’t miss the “faithful saints'' descriptors. Amid the paganism, immorality, and darkness of Ephesus, this was a stark contrast.
What is the main theme/purpose of the book? The first half is the gospel story, and the second half is practical application for our walk. How will your story respond to the gospel?
